Charles MacLean

Charles, described by The London Times as ‘Scotland’s leading whisky expert’, has been writing for thirty years and has published over a dozen books on the subject. Charles sits on several judging panels and advises many companies on cask selection and flavour profiling. The highest award in the whisky industry, ‘Master of the Quaich’, was awarded to Charles in 2009. He starred in the award winning film ‘The Angel’s Share’ in 2012 and the same year won the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ at the International Wines & Spirits Competition.

David Moore

David returned to Scotland in 2013 after more than a decade in Asia Pacific with the world’s leading whisky company Diageo, during which time he lived in Shanghai, Singapore, Saigon and Sydney. He served on executive teams throughout the region and led Diageo businesses as MD of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. To his role as Chairman of MacLean and Bruce, he brings a passion for connecting people from different cultures and enabling business development, as well as a love for golf, whisky and the natural beauty of his birthplace Scotland.

Vikki Bruce

Vikki grew up in the hospitality industry in South West Scotland, gaining an understanding and experience of the trade from a young age. Having travelled for a year through South America, Australasia, Southeast Asia and India Vikki went on to work for a number of years in ski resorts as well as the Cote d’Azure; invaluable experiences in understanding how to achieve the smooth and successful running of a trip. Vikki has spent the last ten years balancing family life with working in the whisky industry for the independent bottling company Adelphi. During this time she has further developed an excellent network of contacts both personally and professionally. These relationships are invaluable in ensuring the prestigious yet personal – nature of guests’ time in Scotland.

Amanda Summers

Amanda has a passion for global travel, people and Scotland, and spent many years in the travel industry working for American Express and BTI Hogg Robinson arranging complex international and domestic trips. Amanda spent the last 16 years working in the Scottish textile industry specialising in tartan – ‘a gift that Scotland has given to the world’ – and brand development with the internationally renowned company Kinloch Anderson, holders of three Royal Warrants of Appointment as tailors and kiltmakers to Her Majesty the Queen, HM the Duke of Edinburgh and HM the Prince of Wales. During this time Amanda also gained knowledge and experience in supplying branded boutique whisky to Asian markets. She has developed a wide range of relationships with contacts in Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan and Russia, and has travelled extensively in these and many other countries.
